If you’re planning a trip away from the Ozarks this winter, here are a few tips to save some money.
Before you leave:
- Turn your thermostat down if you’re traveling in the winter, and up if you’re traveling in the summer
- Turn your water heater to the lowest setting.
- Make sure all the lights are off when you go.
- Unplug everything – Pull the plug on any unnecessary appliances – such as TV’s, gaming centers, stereos, toasters, and microwaves. These items can still use energy in their off mode.
